Introduction

Hazarganji Chiltan National Park is a protected area located in the Sulaiman Mountain range near Quetta, Balochistan. Known for its dry temperate forests and rugged mountains, the park is a sanctuary for diverse flora and fauna, especially the endangered Chiltan Markhor.

Historical and Cultural Significance

The name “Hazarganji” means “Of a Thousand Treasures,” referring to the legend that thousands passed through the area during migration in ancient times. The park holds ecological as well as historical importance.
